iTerm2 Mouse Pointer Disappears on High Resolution
iTerm2 mouse pointer disappears on some monitors when using high resolution. Solution:
System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Display -> Increase the cursor size a bit.
Change the Behavior of Function Keys
System Preferences → Keyboard
Newer Mac versions: Keyboard Shortcuts → Sidebar → Function Keys → "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" ON.
Old Mac versions: Keyboard tab → Select "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys"
Change File Extension/Application Association
This procedure changes the default application a file opens on Mac:
- Select a file with the format in question
- Right click -> Get Info -> Open With (note that "Open With" does not show up for symbolic links) -> Select the app -> Change All
Show Full File and Folder Names on the Mac Desktop
Finder -> View -> Show View Options -> Grid Spacing -> Increase until the names are visible.
Then, optionally Sort by None.
Configure Spotlight Search Priority
