docker tag source-image[:tag] target-image[:tag]

Create a tag target-image that refers to source-image.

Removing a Tag

If an image is tagged by more than one tag, Docker rmi will remove the tag but not the image:

docker rmi my-image:redundat-tag
Untagged my-image:redundat-tag
