Compilation

./configure ... --with-mpm=worker ...

To test if the worker MPM has been correctly compiled into binary, use:

httpd -l

You should see:

[webr@rangiroa ~]$ httpd -l
Compiled in modules:
  core.c
  ...
  worker.c
  http_core.c
  ...

Also you can use:

httpd -V

should report the binary in worker mode.
