Overview
Updating the firmware via the LifeCycle controller implies that the LifeCycle controller has been already configured. If this is not the case, perform the following procedure: Dell LifeCycle Controller Initial Setup Procedure.
Procedure
Start LifeCycle controller by pressing F10 at boot.
Home Screen -> Left-site Menu -> Firmware Update -> Launch Firmware Update.
Step 1: Select Update Repository
This procedure assumes that the LifeCycle controller is fully configured and the machine has access to Internet.
I noticed that the LifeCycle controller network settings did not take - or did partially take - after an initial setup, so it is a good idea to check the Settings after reboot
