Overview

This article describes the export procedure from an iOS device to the file system, using "Photos". The procedure insures that all metadata, including the location information, is preserved in the process.

Configure "Photos" to Export Location Information

Photos -> Preferences -> General -> Metadata: Include location information for published items: check.
