The Prometheus resource declares a "serviceMonitorSelector":

ServiceMonitor Resource
A ServiceMonitor is a custom resource
The labels are important, they must match Prometheus serviceMonitorSelector.
The current service monitor list can be obtained with:
kubectl -n <namespace> get servicemonitors
