ip is the Linux command to show and manipulate routing, devices, policy routing and tunnels.

Usage Examples

Show All Network Interfaces and Their Details

ip addr show

Show Details for a Specific Network Interface

ip addr show dev eth0

Turn Device On/Off

ip link set dev eth0 up|down

Change MULTICAST Flag on Device

ip link set dev eth0 multicast on|off

Displays multicast addresses.
