The "DNS client" consists of a set of library calls that are configured as described below.

Services

There are no services that need to be started.

Configuration Files

/etc/resolv.conf

/etc/resolv.conf specifies the configuration of the DNS resolver. However, in some cases its content it is overwritten by network initialization scripts or NetworkManager. Details on how to configure the DNS resolution, including the case of NetworkManager are available here:

Test

Test with dig or nslookup.
