Overview

Homebrew is the preferred method to install software on Macs. Unlike one-off installations that require navigating to a web site, downloading a .dmg file and performing various operations that may include drag-and-drop in the Applications folder, Homebrew-driven installations can be scripted and generally lead to a more consistent developer environments.
