Overview
Installing the O/S with Lifecycle Controller is the preferred way of installing the O/S on the Dell Servers, because the O/S drivers are pre-loaded the installation process. According to Dell documentation, "the O/S is smoothly installed as all components are well recognized by the O/S".
Procedure
- Press F10 during the boot cycle to enter the Lifecycle Controller.
- Home Page -> Left Menu -> OS Deployment.
- Deploy OS
- Manual
- Insert the O/S installation media.
- Follow RHEL 7 Installation if installing a server or /RHEL 7 Virtualization Host Installation if installing a virtualization host.
