Internal

Physical Network Ports

Physical ports are managed with Port Management -> Port Setup. Management consists in allocating them to a VLAN, controlling priority, speed, auto-negotiation and duplex mode. The status of a specific port can be queried with Port Management -> Port Status. A port's link is "Up" if a network device is connected to it.

All LAN ports are attached to VLAN 1 by default. To place a port on a separate VLAN, chose a different VLAN from the drop-down list.

VLAN

A VLAN (Virtual LAN) is a group of endpoints in a network that are associated by function or other shared characteristics. Unlike LANs that are geographically based, VLANs can group endpoints without regard to the physical location of the equipment. There is no communication between devices on separate VLANs.

Subnet

Setting a DHCP Server per VLAN

The VLANs seem to be isolated (cannot ping each other) even if they share the same DHCP server and DHCP range. Ideally, and for clarity, it would be nice to assign a subnet per VLAN, and each subnet have its own DHCP server. It may be possible but I haven't find a way to do it. It may be related to the fact that multiple subnets can be configured: Setup -> Network -> LAN Setting -> Multiple Subnet: Enable, then Add.
