Overview
To support Web services and usage of SAML tokens in Web services communication, the OASIS WS-Security TC developed a SAML Token profile. The SAML Token profile defines the rules and guidelines for using SAML assertions in Web services communication. OASIS also ratified SAML Token profile 1.0 as an approved standard.
