Overview

Updating the firmware via the LifeCycle controller implies that the LifeCycle controller has been already configured. If this is not the case, perform the following procedure: Dell LifeCycle Controller Initial Setup Procedure.

The current firmware component versions can be obtained from the LifeCycle controller by going to the Home Screen -> Firmware Update -> View Current Versions.

Firmware includes:

  • BIOS: 2.4.2
  • Network: Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet BCM5720: 20.2.17
  • Dell 32 Bit uEFI Diagnostics: 4239A36
  • Dell OS Driver Pack: 16.10.10
  • Disk 0 on Integrated RAID Controller: DS04
  • Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller: 2.41.40.40
  • Lifecycle controller: 2.41.40.40
  • OS Collector: 2.1
  • PERC H33 Mini: 25.5.2.0001
  • System CPLD 1.0.3

Procedure

Start LifeCycle controller by pressing F10 at boot.

Home Screen -> Left-site Menu -> Firmware Update -> Launch Firmware Update.
